About me
Madeline Kelso is a native of Savannah, Georgia, where she began her dance training and developed a love for performing. She grew up in this small town in Georgia training at a local studio - Gretchen Greene School of Dance - under the instruction of Gretchen Dodd and Trina Dunn. After graduating high school from Savannah Arts Academy, Madeline went on to pursue her BFA in dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she earned the opportunity to perform many works with the Conservatory Dance Company. Some of these works included choreography by Gregory Dolbashian, Aszure Barton, Jennifer Archibald, Mark Burrell, José Limón and Garfield Lemonius, to name a few.
Naturally flexible, self-motivated and hard-working, Madeline chose to further her training by attending the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance intensive directed by Summer Rhatigan. She also expanded her performance experience by working with the Movement Invention Project in New York City, under the guidance of Alexandra Wells.
Madeline successfully obtained her BFA degree in 2019 and moved back home to perform in local theaters. She went on to work with RWS Entertainment Group in New York City. There she trained to board the MS Noordam with Holland America, then the MSC Seashore.
Madeline continues to express her creativity in everyday life and in the lives of others. She enjoys bringing happiness to those around her and strives to find a sense of community and support everywhere she goes.
Madeline has funneled her passion for dance and creativity into her small business, MAD Essentials. She creates handmade polymer clay earrings that are lightweight and comfortable. Being a performer and athlete, Madeline values comfort. She wanted to blend comfort and style by creating large statement earrings that weight less than two ounces. This is what created MAD Essentials in 2020.
Today, she continues to build her business online and in her community. You can find her latest collections under SHOP.
